Westhaven Sector

Westhaven: A Portrait of Territory and Demographics

Westhaven is primarily a residential neighborhood characterized by its three-story apartment buildings. A notable exception is the 13-story residential tower located on Sherbrooke Street, which, along with Harley Street and Saint-Jacques Street, hosts the area's commercial activities. The neighborhood's landscape is shaped by:

  • An industrial zone along Saint-Jacques Street.
  • A railway that bisects Westhaven.
  • Parc Coffee, situated on Coffee Street.

The Westhaven Community Centre on Harley Avenue serves as the focal point for the community, offering social, cultural, and physical activities to residents in collaboration with community partners.

Economic vulnerability is high, as 22% of Westhaven's population earns less than $10,000 per year.
