At Westhaven Elmhurst Community Recreation Association, we value the important role played by our participants of all age groups—from our ten-year-old basketball enthusiasts to those over 50 who take part in our senior computer class, board games club and many other activities we offer.

For us, it is very important that all local residents in Notre-Dame-de-Grace and surrounding areas in Montreal can take advantage of the wide range of services we offer. That is why we make a concerted effort to ensure that as many members as possible from our neighbourhood have the opportunity to take advantage of what we have to offer.

Computer Class for the Over 50s

Nowadays, being able to use a computer properly is becoming a more and more important skill to have. The simple fact of the matter is that whether you are 50 or 15, you need to be able to navigate a computer comfortably. So, whether you wish to book a trip online or simply want to send an email with photos attached to your son or daughter living abroad, you need to know what you’re doing.

At Westhaven Elmhurst Community Recreation Association, our senior computer class provides those over 50 with a tailored course that is designed to improve their computer skills and develop a real appetite for browsing the internet. As part of this program, you will find our basic procedures like understanding how to send emails, attach photos, create excel files and improve your Microsoft Word knowledge in no time at all.

Participants are free to bring their own laptop or use ours—the choice is theirs.
